Mace Mrs. Verna WRIGHT, 72, died Thursday morning at her home here. She had been in failing health the past year. Mrs. Wright was a book binder and mender at Lilly Library, Wabash College a number of years. She was a member of the Smartsburg Christian Church. Born July 10, 1890 at Mt. Zion, Ill she was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Peck. She was twice married; first Louis J. Truax on Jan 11, 1921 at Terre Haute. He died in 1937. On March 24, 1944, she married Earl C. Wright. They were married at Lebanon; he died Dec 7, 1945. Surviving are a son, Jack L. Truax; two daughters, Mrs. Lafern Williams and Mrs. Lulu May Ball; 9 grandchildren and 10 greats. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Peck. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home at Crawfordsville; interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
